FAQs
Answers to the questions we’re hearing most.
When does Grace City start meeting at Stamford?
Our first gathering at Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport, 241 O’Riordan St, Mascot, is Sunday 6 September 2026. From then on we meet every Sunday.
What time are the services?
10am and 5pm, every Sunday.
Is there lunch and dinner this Sunday?
Yes. This Sunday 13 September, lunch and dinner are at La Boca, downstairs in the hotel, $19 per person. $19 per person and everyone’s invited. Come to church, then after the service gather a few people and head downstairs to La Boca. No booking, just turn up. Lunch is at about 12pm after the 10am, dinner at about 7pm after the 5pm.
There’s plenty of street parking, so aim to get to church a little early to park and walk across. Hotel parking is still $10 flat.
Will there be morning tea and supper at Stamford?
Grab a coffee from La Boca Restaurant on your way in. It’s on the ground floor, just before the large staircase up to the foyer, and serves coffee from 6am. Aim to be at the hotel by 9:30am and you’ll have a coffee in hand and a seat before we begin.
There’ll be something simple at both services: morning tea after the 10am, and supper after the 5pm. This Sunday, lunch and dinner are at La Boca in the hotel, $19 a head (see the question above). Other weeks, make a plan for lunch or dinner with other families and friends from church. Our guide to eating together around Stamford has thirty places within a walk, with photos and Sunday hours.
$15 a head at Nate’s. The Branksome Hotel, across Robey Street, is doing us a deal for lunch and dinner every Sunday: the $15 meals change each week, the rest of the menu is at the normal price, and you just say “Grace City Church” when you arrive. People head over at about 12pm and about 7pm.
Is there a video of how to get in?
Two short ones, shot on a phone: the drive into the car park, and reception to the ballroom. They’re also on the Quick Summary.
Where inside the hotel will we meet?
We meet in the Mascot Ballroom, on the level above reception. Our welcome desk is in the foyer at the top of the main staircase.
What happened to the Waterloo and Rockdale services?
Both have finished. Waterloo’s last services at 937 Bourke Street were on Sunday 23 August, and Rockdale’s last service was on Sunday 30 August. From 6 September we’re all together at Stamford.
What about parking?
Free street parking along High Street, Robey Street and Baxter Road, with more spots on the surrounding streets. Check the sign where you park. The sign wins. There’s a parking map on the Quick Summary.
If you’d rather park underneath, we’ve secured a discount on the hotel car park: $10 all day, down from $35 per car. The car park entrance is on Robey Street.
To get the $10 rate: before you leave, take your ticket to hotel reception in the lobby, let them know you’re from Grace City Church and ask for it to be validated. Do this on your way out, not on your way in, because the validation only lasts 15 minutes. It covers the whole day in the same car, so if you’re back for the 5pm, go to reception again on your way out and there’s nothing more to pay. There’s a four-step picture on the Quick Summary.
How do I get from the hotel entrance to the Mascot Ballroom?
If you park underneath the hotel: take the lift to the ground floor, walk past reception, then go up the large staircase to the foyer outside the Mascot Ballroom.
If you use street parking, public transport or arrive on foot: come in through the hotel’s main entrance, walk towards reception, then go up the large staircase to the foyer.
If you have a pram or wheelchair, or would rather skip the stairs: the lifts are near reception on the ground floor and come straight up to the same foyer.
If you’re dropping someone off: drop passengers at the front door, then continue on to hotel or street parking.
Either way, our welcome desk is in the foyer at the top of the stairs. Come and say hello, and we’ll point you the right way.
Where do City Kids and Youth meet?
City Kids and Youth run at the 10am service, in rooms just off the foyer outside the Mascot Ballroom:
Crèche, ages 1–3 — Kurnell
Pre-School, ages 3–5 — Kingsford
Kindy to Year 2 — Botany
Years 3–5 — Rosebery
Youth — Randwick
Check-in opens at 9:50am. Head straight up to your child’s room; they’re all together off the foyer. Youth start in the ballroom with everyone, then head out together to their room partway through. Please pick your kids up straight after the service so our leaders can pack down and join everyone for morning tea.
There’s no kids program or toys at the 5pm service, so if you’re bringing little ones, a few quiet activities in the bag will help them settle in.
Our team will be in the foyer to help you check your children in the first time you come.
Can I get there by public transport?
Mascot Station is about a ten-minute walk away, and there are bus stops on O’Riordan Street close to the hotel.
Can I ride my bike?
There’s no bike rack, and bikes can’t come into the hotel, but there’s a railing on level B2 of the car park, just before the boom gate, that you can chain up to.
Is Stamford our permanent home?
No. Stamford Plaza is where we’ll gather for this season. We expect to be in our own building on Epsom Road, Rosebery, around mid-November 2026.
