Harvest Internship

The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few…

The vision of Grace City is to see thousands of disciples throughout Sydney and beyond radically committed to the cause of Christ. This vision requires a growing group of leaders intentionally and sacrificially investing their time, talents and treasure into the kingdom of God, and being equipped to serve him faithfully. For some this will mean pursuing full time vocational ministry. For others it will involve serving God while continuing to work or study in secular fields.

Under God, we long to see an ever increasing number of Grace City Members equipped to minister in their homes, workplaces and church, both locally and further afield. Harvest provides an opportunity to grow as a leader and prepare to partner with Grace City for the long-term as we seek to reach the lost here in Sydney.

The harvest is plentiful
but the workers are few...

About Harvest

Harvest Internship is a 10-month, voluntary (unpaid) program from February to November. We will invest in you through a combination of practical experience, coaching, mentoring, cohort and theological training, so that you can grow in your character, conviction, and competence as you serve Christ and His church.

Who is it for?

Any adult Grace City member who has demonstrated growing Christian maturity and who…

  • is eager to grow and serve under the leadership of the Grace City team,

  • has demonstrated commitment to Grace City through regular attendance at Sunday services, Community Group, and service on a ministry team,

  • is willing to set aside one day a week to train with us at Grace City,

  • is seeking to have a greater gospel impact in their workplace, studies or other context OR

  • is considering vocation ministry in the future and want to have a first dip into what that may look like.

Harvest is designed to suit Grace City members in a variety of life stages — whether you’re a university student, retiree, between jobs, or have flexible work hours, we’ll try our best to work with you to find a rhythm that allows you to participate meaningfully in the program.

Commitment

Harvest involves a weekly commitment of 8 hours during the week in addition to Sunday ministry and Community Group leading. These hours are a combination of fixed office time and flexible hours depending on ministry involvement and training schedule.

Committing to Harvest will mean saying “no” to some additional work and social opportunities.

Application for Harvest 2026 closes on 16th January 2026
