We love having new guests join us on Sundays.
Here’s what you can expect if you come along.
We meet each Sunday at 937 Bourke St, Waterloo. We have three services that run at 9am, 11am and 6pm, and we’ve got great coffee to enjoy beforehand, so feel free to come along a bit earlier, meet people from Grace City and get acquainted with our building before the service starts.
Community
There will be people before and after the service hanging out over food and coffee. We have a large cafe-style area that you can find a space in, whether that be by yourself, with your friends and family, or with some new friends you meet there! The cafe is open from 8.30am and continues after each service.
Singing & Praying
As a church, we love singing to God and praying to Him. We typically will sing a couple of songs at the beginning of a service and a couple more near the end. Someone will lead the church in prayer at different points throughout the service. With both singing and praying, you are welcome to join in or just listen, whichever you are most comfortable with.
Bible Reading and Preaching
Each week we read a section of the Bible and then one of our pastors will preach from this passage. Sermon average about 35 mins long.
City Kids (9am only)
Children can be dropped off before the service at City Kids. City Kids runs for the duration of church in our City Kids rooms within the same building. Children will be looked after by our fantastic, Safe Ministry trained leaders and have fun learning from the Bible, playing games, singing/dancing, and doing craft.

Welcome Desk & Friendly Helpers
If you have questions about Grace City, need help finding something, or just want someone to talk to then hit up our volunteers at the welcome desk. There will also be volunteers at key points throughout the building – they can be identified by their Grace City lanyards.
Someone to Talk and Pray with
Someone will always be available to chat if you want to talk and pray with one of our leaders about something significant going on in your life. Just ask at the welcome desk to be connected with someone.

What if you want to just stay anonymous?
While there will be opportunity on a Sunday for you to connect more with us by letting us know your contact information, this is purely optional. We have people from all sorts of backgrounds and church experiences. We understand that some people just want to visit without “jumping all in”. That’s totally ok!
