WEA 2025
Grace City’s Weekend Away is all about growing in community under God’s Word. It’s a time to get away from the distractions of our busy lives and delve deeply into the Bible, encouraging one another and building each other up.
Over meals, walks and cups of coffee, through in-depth talks and evenings of fun activities, we will build deep community, learn and grow in our faith, and have plenty of time to rest and relax (and have loads of fun!!). Weekend Away is certainly an event you don’t want to miss!

Please note the start and finish times for the Weekend. We have an exciting program planned and it would be a shame for you to miss out on the fun.
Each year we endeavour to accommodate as many people as possible, while keeping costs at a minimum. Please note our three accommodation styles:
MALE & FEMALE ROOMS
Most guests attending Weekend Away will be accommodated in either male or female rooms. Each room has an ensuite and guests can choose their rooms and roommates prior to arrival.
FAMILY ROOMS (for parents and children)
Families with children will be accommodated in private rooms.
PRIVATE ROOMS
Whilst we encourage all guests without children to share a room with, we know that for some, sharing a room will be a prohibitive factor for attending Weekend Away. For this reason there are a limited number of private rooms available. These rooms do come at a higher cost, and mature aged couples or guests with health concerns will be prioritised. If you would like to enquire about the availability of a private room please email the event coordinator directly at weekendaway@gracecity.com.au.
Why do I have to share a room?
We encourage sharing rooms at our Weekend Away to increase our sense of community and enjoy the rare opportunity to hang out in this fun, social way. The site also requires minimum numbers for the booking, so sharing rooms helps us keep costs at a minimum .

Each year we strive to make Weekend Away a high quality event at an affordable price. Your ticket includes: accommodation, meals, activities and additional extras (eg. booklets for adults, programs for kids, etc). The registration site also charges a 2.5% +$0.50 booking fee.
We do not build any profit into our ticket pricing and charge the minimum possible to cover costs. However, it does assist us in all areas of planning and coordination to know who is coming as early as possible prior to Weekend Away! So we are offering a discount on tickets if you get in quick!
Please note that early bird registrations will close on Monday 28th April.
Standard registration will close Friday, 11th July at 11.59pm (three weeks prior to the event).
Adults + Parents:
– Early Bird: $210
– Standard : $230
– Private Room: $250 (per person)
Under 18s:
– Youth (yr7-12): $200
– Children (K-yr6): $180
– Preschool (3yrs and over): $70
– Creche (10months-2yrs): $40
– Infant (0-9months): $20
DONATE A TICKET
Each year there are people who would love to attend Weekend Away, but require financial assistance to make it possible. If you would like to generously provide a ticket to someone who may need it, you’ll notice an option to donate when you process your purchase.
Please note that the giver and receiver will remain anonymous.

As you register for Weekend Away, you will notice that there is an opportunity to offer to help at some point across the weekend. While we understand that there might be reasons you’re unable to help, many hands make light work.
Every year it’s a challenge to find enough leaders to serve on the kids programs, so this year we are offering a discount to adult tickets for those willing to serve on a City Kids program during the weekend. To find out more please email weekendaway@gracecity.com.au
Weekend Away is a great time for adults and kids alike to gather together and grow in community as a church, while also growing in our love and understanding of God and His Word.
There will be a combination of kid friendly sessions where our whole church will gather together to worship together, and adult only sessions where children will be well looked after in their own programs, learning big Bible truths through stories, songs and activities. The reason we charge for all children (no matter their age) is because, as mentioned above, all families will be accommodated in private rooms.
Volunteering in City Kids
Weekend Away is a perfect time to come together in community and serve alongside one another. Each year, everyone who registers for Weekend Away will be asked to volunteer to serve where they can, in areas such as set up, serving meals, or helping on one City Kids session.
We invite all parents to consider whether they are able to serve in a City Kids and Youth program for one of the sessions. Please note that if you have children in a program, the City Kids and Youth team may ask you to serve in one session even if you have not selected this option (and complete the necessary checks and training before hand) to ensure the fun and safety of the program.
Once each volunteer has been allocated to a session, details will be sent out about what is involved and which session you will be serving on. We hope that seeing ‘behind the scenes’ in City Kids will be informative and encouraging for you as you get to see what your kids participate in each week!
