WEA 2024
Grace City’s Weekend Away is all about growing in community under God’s Word. It’s a time to get away from the distractions of our busy lives and delve deeply into the Bible, encouraging one another and building each other up.
Over meals, walks and cups of coffee, through in-depth talks and evenings of fun activities, we will build deep community, learn and grow in our faith, and have plenty of time to rest and relax (and have loads of fun!!). Weekend Away is certainly an event you don’t want to miss!

Please note the start and finish times for the Weekend. We have an exciting program planned and it would be a shame for you to miss out on the fun.
Each year we endeavour to accommodate as many people as possible, while keeping costs at a minimum. Please note our two accommodation styles:
MALE & FEMALE ROOMS
Most guests attending Weekend Away will be accommodated in either male or female rooms. Each room has an ensuite and guests can choose their rooms and roommates prior to arrival.
Why do I have to share a room?
We encourage sharing rooms at our Weekend Away to increase our sense of community and enjoy the rare opportunity to hang out in this fun, social way. The site also requires minimum numbers for the booking, so sharing rooms helps us keep costs at a minimum .
FAMILY ROOMS (for parents and children)
Families with children will be accommodated in private rooms.

Each year we strive to make Weekend Away a high quality event at an affordable price. Your ticket includes: accommodation, meals, activities and additional extras (eg. booklets for adults, programs for kids, etc). The registration site also charges as well as a 2.2% +$0.55 booking fee.
We do not build any profit into our ticket pricing and charge the minimum possible to cover costs. However, it does assist us in all areas of planning and coordination to know who is coming as early as possible prior to Weekend Away! So we are offering a discount on tickets if you get in quick!
Please note that registrations will close on Friday, 5th July at 11.59pm (three weeks prior to the event).
Adults:
- Round 1: $200
- Round 2: $215
- Round 3: $230
Children:
- Youth (Yr7-12): $180
- Child (K-yr6): $160
- Preschool (3yrs-K): $70
- Infant (0-2yrs): $40
DONATE A TICKET
Each year there are people who would love to attend Weekend Away, but are restricted by their financial circumstances. If you would like to generously provide a ticket to someone who may need it, you’ll notice an option to donate when you process your purchase.
Please note that the giver and receiver will remain anonymous.

As you register for Weekend Away, you will notice that there is an opportunity to offer to help at some point across the weekend. While we understand that there might be reasons you’re unable to help, many hands make light work.
Every year it’s a challenge to find enough leaders to serve on the kids programs, so this year we are offering a discount to adult tickets for those willing to serve on a City Kids program during the weekend. To find out more please email weekendaway@gracecity.com.au
Weekend Away is a great time for adults and kids alike to gather together and grow in community as a church, while also growing in our love and understanding of God and His Word.
There will be a combination of kid friendly sessions where our whole church will gather together to worship together, and adult only sessions where children will be well looked after in their own programs, learning big Bible truths through stories, songs and activities. The reason we charge for all children (no matter their age) is because, as mentioned above, all families will be accommodated in private rooms.
Volunteering in City Kids
Weekend Away is a perfect time to come together in community and serve alongside one another. Each year, everyone who registers for Weekend Away will be asked to volunteer to serve where they can, in areas such as set up, serving meals, or helping on one City Kids session. As parents register themselves, they will have the opportunity to join in on the fun and learning in our City Kids programs by volunteering to serve in one session by choosing “City Kids”. Once each volunteer has been allocated to a session, details will be sent out about what is involved and which session you will be serving on. We hope that seeing ‘behind the scenes’ in City Kids will be informative and encouraging for you as you get to see what your kids participate in each week!
